School is starting.....Phil is back at it already....got a new addition to the family....cats don't know what to think.

We sat outside last night and it was cold!....oops, gotta go make dinner..................

Iam in Rice Lake Wisconsin this am....sone to be on my way to Brisbane Australia......all three of us (Kyle and Rachel)..........are on computers at WITC, they are watching videos and I am trying to get caught up on all the sites I go to......No time for craftster.org or junkmarket or even utube,...dang.
Have to stop at the goodwill here to get some books for the airplane.

this is always a challenge ........to see if dial up will actually let me get something new posted here.

What those pics are all about................

The orchid pic is from last Friday, when we went to the St. Paul Conservatory....too many people, but warm and beautiful. Unfortunately the star gazer lilies were not in bloom yet, I love those.

The Joe pic is..................JOE!! I added it cause he cracks me up. Phil says he has a Aunt Betty look on his face. And speaking of Neinas.....we looked in on Louies cat last night and the poor thing was out of food, although it looks like it could survive months without any.

Last pic is a whole long involved story about how Phil tells a tale about how he is related to Ghengis Khan and how the mongols invaded Poland etc, etc, etc. So that is Phillip G. Khan...........guaranteed to make the offspring roll their eyes.

Sometimes this seems like it should be a daily list of all the things I need to get done.....like, go to Louies and visit the cat, sew Kerrys apron, do the dishes, do the laundry (thank you to Cinderella) make a Doctors appointment, send Kristal her baby shower gift, take the over due Australia library book back, sand the bench I made..................and on and on and on..........

Maybe none of those will be accomplished today, but this a.m., JMResch and I will work our magic on a new photo in Photoshop. Having fast internet would really help when it comes to viewing new tutorials.....and I could really use some new inspiration. Stay tuned for the results.

I am working on my acceptance speech for my award.............ahem......................thinking.................ok, not really, but I am going to try to add Boatbirds blog here and some others if my tempermental comp will let me. I do have a bad headache though, so if this doesn't make sense or work out...well then, there you have it.

Random thoughts on this day...jan.27th 2009

It is below zero again today and I am sick of it! Why can't we bring back all the memories and sensations of 100 degree weather from the summer?? Our brains should totally be capable of doing that.
Talking to Kyle on Skype this morning....it really makes me miss him....HI Kyle!
I still have thankyous to write from Christmas.......
And jewelry to finish for a swap....I think I will post a pic here.
Also got some really fabulous fabric from JMResh and can't wait to sew with.
But chores are calling my name and I suppose I should get dressed for the day.

Today Kateri and I did a round-robin challenge again and I'm a little worried about the end result. The first pic shows what we started with. I sent it to K and she added the elements shown in the second pic. I wrapped it up and the final results are in the last pic. JMResch

Today Kateri and I (we are sisters) worked on an online round-robin

kind of art thing and this is one we came up with. We make one-of-a-kind greeting cards and the saying inside this one will be "... with Lard Sandwiches!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY".

We are going to try to do this type of thing weekly to keep each other motivated since we live 1000 miles apart.
